Future models - Porsche - TaycanGoodwood FOS debut for Black Edition PorschesBlack design elements define limited-edition Porsche Taycan and Cayenne models11 Jul 2025 PORSCHE is upping the ante on exclusivity through desirable “Black Edition” variants of its Taycan and Cayenne models, the former in sports sedan and Sport Turismo guise and the later in classic SUV and coupe-SUV styles – all with several available drive options.
Debuted at the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK, local availability is scheduled for later this year at an undisclosed price – suffice to say the entry-level fully electric Taycan starts at $174,500 before on-road costs and the entry level Cayenne at $141,700 + ORC, with the Black Editions (BE) expected to list above those price points.
Porsche alludes to “an attractive price” for the limited editions that are defined by extensive black accents to exterior hardware, exclusive interior and exterior design elements and additional comfort features with Porsche personalisation options available through Porsche Exclusive.
Delving deeper into the limited-edition models, the Taycan BE features the Sport Design package as standard with side window trims and the model designation at the rear finished in high-gloss black.
High-gloss black exterior mirrors in combination with other exterior paint finishes are available exclusively on the BE.
The rear light strip with illuminated black Porsche logo also comes as standard. The black interior accent package, the storage package and the black-brushed illuminated aluminium door sill guards are also included.â¯
Of note is a larger Performance Battery Plus fitted to the Taycan Black Edition, which is optional on the Taycan, Taycan 4 and Taycan 4S.
Porsche claims the greater gross energy capacity of 105kWh benefits both the driving performance and gives a 12 per cent increased WLTP range to 668km in the base Black Edition sports sedan with 320kW output.
The Cayenne BE features a Sport Design front apron and exterior package, with the exterior mirrors, Porsche logo and model designation at the rear all finished in high-gloss black. There is also an interior package featuring brushed-black aluminium trim.
Both Taycan and Cayenne BE models are equipped as standard with lane change assist, surround view including active parking assist, 21-inch wheels with centre caps featuring the full-colour Porsche crest, HD matrix LED headlights (which are tinted on the Cayenne Black Edition), LED door projectors showing the Porsche logo, comfort seats in the front (with 14-way electric adjustment and memory function) with the Porsche crest on the headrests, a Boseâ¯surround sound system including Dolby Atmos (with electric sport sound in the Taycan), a storage package and black smooth leather trim.
The Taycan gains an exclusive badge in the centre console bearing the ‘Black Edition’ designation and all BE models can be ordered in paint finishes other than black-on-black-on-black – although each standard choice results in a somewhat monochromatic colour scheme.
Porsche says forâ¯the Taycan, all colours in the Shades category are available at no extra charge, including Jet Black Metallic, Volcano Grey Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic and Ice Grey Metallic.
The alternative colour palette for the Cayenne includes Quartzite Grey Metallic, Vanadium Grey Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic and Carrara White Metallic.
Further colours are optionally available via Porsche’s Legends, Dreams and Contrasts categories or even from the extensive customisation options offered by the Paint to Sample program.
Interior colour options include leather in Slate Grey or a two-tone design. ![]() Read moreAll future models![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Motor industry news |
