Ford Everest Black Edition debuts

FORD Australia has debuted its bold new Everest Black Edition this week, announcing just 750 examples of the variant will be available from July delivery and priced from $69,000 drive-away.

Based upon the Everest Trend, the seven-seat, four-wheel drive Ford Everest Black Edition is characterised by blacked-out 18-inch alloy wheels with A/T tyres, a blackened grille with EVEREST bonnet lettering, black interior sill covers, and blackened door handles, roof rails, side steps, and wing mirrors.

Complementing the lashings of black, the Everest Black Edition is available in a choice of three no-cost achromatic paint finishes – Aluminium Metallic, Shadow Black, and a new Black Edition exclusive, Alabaster White.

Equipment otherwise adheres closely to that of the donor model, with highlights such as a digital rear-view camera, dual-zone climate control, eight-way powered driver seat adjustment, electrochromatic rear-view mirror, front and rear parking sensors, keyless entry and ignition, leather-accented upholstery, and LED headlighting with auto high beam.

Instrumentation is presented via an 8.0-inch digital display with infotainment duties arriving courtesy of a 12.0-inch touchscreen incorporating SYNC 4 software, eight-speaker sound, proprietary satellite navigation, voice control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and a wireless device charging pad.

Five child-seat anchorages are offered, including two ISOFIX points, alongside standard safety technologies like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert and trailer coverage, lane centring, lane departure and lane keeping assistance, traffic sign recognition, and more.

The Everest Black Edition is available to order with three optional packs, including the Premium Seat Pack ($1200), Touring Pack ($2900), and Towing Pack ($1950).

The Premium Seat Pack adds heated and ventilated front seats, 10-way power adjustment for the driver (with memory functionality), and eight-way power adjustment for the passenger.

For the Touring Pack we find a 360-degree camera system and Ford’s Pro Trailer Backup Assist technology on top of towing hardware, while the Towing Pack adds simply a tow bar and hitch, integrated brake controller, and 12-pin wiring harness.

As per the Everest Trend, the Black Edition is powered by Ford’s twin-turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine developing 154kW/500Nm and paired exclusively with a 10-speed automatic transmission, full-time four-wheel drive, and a locking rear differential.

Orders for the 2025 Ford Everest Black Edition are now open with initial deliveries expected from July.
