New models - Iveco - Euro CARGOIVECO launches medium-duty Eurocargo rangeNew generation IVECO Eurocargo now available with improved safety, enhanced drivelines27 Nov 2025 By MATT BROGAN IVECO has released its new-generation Eurocargo medium duty truck range in Australia this week, offering more active safety features, telematics, driver comfort appointments and an enhanced range of drivelines.
Available in five main models – ML140, ML160, ML180, ML150 4x4, ML150 4x2 dual-cab – the ML140 also available with a Tipper Pack option which introduces a 4185mm wheelbase, increased 22,000kg GCM, reinforced parabolic suspension front and rear, a rear diff’ lock, and an easy-clean cab.
The 4x2 range is available with a choice of two transmissions and three cabin options plus a variety of wheelbases. GVM alternatives range from 14,000kg to 18,000kg with GCMs ranging from 17,500kg to 28,000kg depending on the model and transmission specified.
Revised Tector 7 engines are now available across the range, the previously optional turbocharged six-cylinder units featuring high-pressure common rail fuel injection and a 24-valve cylinder head to provide outputs ranging from 207kW/1000Nm through to 235kW/1100Nm.
In all cases the engines meet Euro6 (Step E) emission requirements using HI-SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) and are fitted with idle cut-off technology.
Matched to the engines in the 4x2 range is a choice of either the standard ZF eight-speed automatic or optional Allison six-speed automatic for high-torque/low-speed applications.
Power is fed to the rear wheels via Meritor axles with standard cross locks on ML150 (4x2) Dual Cab, ML160 and ML180 models and optional on the ML140.
Front suspension on all 4x2 models (aside from Tipper spec) is parabolic spring with dual action hydraulic shock absorbers and stabiliser bar, and at the rear the ML140 features a two-bellow airbag set-up with dual action shock absorbers, while the ML150 Dual Cab, ML160 and ML180 are equipped with a four-bellow configuration.
IVECO says the new Eurocargo has taken “a considerable leap forward” when it comes to active and passive safety, with standard features including Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Hill Holder, Blind Spot Information System (BSIS), Reversing System (REV) including camera, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Driver Drowsiness and Alert Warning (DDAW), and Moving Off Information System (MOIS).
AEBS, ESP and ACC are not available in the 4x4 model.
Other standard safety features include an ECE R29-compliant cabin, ventilated disc brakes all-round with ABS and ESP (ESP available on 4x2 only), LED daytime running lights, LED tail-lights, and optional tyre pressure monitoring.
Further enhancements include a new steering wheel, 10.0-inch digital instrument cluster, proximity key system with push-button ignition, additional soft-touch finishes, revised steering column adjustment, and a column-mounted gearshift selector.
Seating across the range comes courtesy of a fully adjustable ISRI air suspended units with an optional ‘Hi-Comfort’ ISRI seat featuring belt height adjustment, backrest/shoulder adjustment and Ventilation Climate Control.
Also new to the Eurocargo is a 7.0-inch multimedia system with Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and readiness for ‘IVECO On’ telematics.
Finally, and for the tough ML150 4x4, we find upgrades including a six-speed manual transmission, 15,000kg GVM, 19,000kg GCM, and a choice of wheelbases up to 4150mm.
The model further features front, centre, and rear differential locks and parabolic three-leaf front suspension and parabolic (two plus two) rear leaf suspension.
The ML150 4x4 features a 26.0-degree approach angle, and 28.0-degree ramp-over angle, a steel front bumper, and comparable in-cabin equipment to the 4x2 range.
“The new Eurocargo offers higher levels of comfort, safety and lower emissions, benefits that are underrepresented in the medium duty truck market,” said IVECO Trucks Australia managing director Glen Dyer.
“Eurocargo provides a perfect blend of productivity and low total cost of ownership, matched with the cabin amenities and appointments that drivers who spend long hours behind the wheel will appreciate.
“It’s these characteristics that continually see Eurocargo top the sales charts in Europe, and we believe the latest generation trucks will strike a chord with Australian and New Zealand buyers.
IVECO’s new Eurocargo range is on sale now and is backed by a five-year/300,000km warranty.
IVECO also offers extended warranties of up to five years/600,000km at an additional cost, along with maintenance and repair agreements.
