New models - Jeep - Grand Cherokee - SummitJeep cuts $33K from Grand Cherokee PHEVRemaining stock of Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve 4xe available from $77,76014 Aug 2025 By MATT BROGAN JEEP Australia is heavily discounting remaining stock of its now defunct Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve 4xe, the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle now available from $77,760 plus on-road costs – or $33,090 less than this time last month.
While the price cut is certain to upset buyers who paid the full retail price for their plug-in Grand Cherokee, slow sales of the model (just 554 units YTD) mean very few consumers are likely to feel the sting of a model that has depreciated by over 30 per cent in matter of weeks.
Jeep says the price cut reflects its commitment to delivering greater value and accessibility in the premium electrified space, while at the same time noting just 90 units remain in stock.
As before, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve 4xe is powered by the combination of a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with dual electric motors and a 17.3kWh battery pack.
Jeep claims a combined output figure of 280kW/637Nm and up to 52km (NEDC) of all-electric driving range. The Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve 4xe is otherwise said to consume as little as 3.2 litres of fuel per 100km travelled.
Positioned against segment rivals (predominantly from premium brands), the Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve 4xe offers feature highlights including quilted Palermo leather-appointed upholstery, a 950-watt/19-speaker McIntosh premium audio system, night vision camera technology, 12-way adjustable front ventilated and massage seats with position memory, open-pore real wood interior trim, and 21-inch alloy wheels.
Other standouts include a 10.0-inch head-up display, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera system, illuminated sill plates, automated parking assistance, and Jeep’s acclaimed Quadra-Trac II four-wheel drive system with Selec-Terrain and Quadra Lift air suspension.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee was awarded a five-star ANCAP safety rating when tested in August 2022 and is equipped as standard with a comprehensive array of active and passive safety technologies, including active lane management, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, driver monitoring, seven airbags, and traffic sign recognition.
Jeep continues to back its vehicles with a five-year/100,000km warranty with includes roadside and capped-price servicing program.
