New models - Mercedes-Benz - ManufakturManufaktur Exclusive program launches locallyMercedes-Benz launches Manufaktur Exclusive program for top-end models8 Aug 2025 MERCEDES-BENZ has launched its highly premium Manufaktur Exclusive customisation program in Australia, but there’s a catch… only owners of the carmaker’s most expensive models will qualify.
The Manufaktur personalisation program kicked off back in 2015, originally dubbed the Designo Manufaktur program, before it was renamed and expanded in 2021.
Now, for customers that can afford to spend the monetary equivalent of a new compact car on paint alone, the Manufaktur Exclusive program is available for buyers of S-Class, Maybach S-Class, AMG SL and GT models.
The options are available more specifically for the range-toppers, which include the S 580 L, Mercedes-Maybach S 680, Mercedes-AMG SL 63 Roadster and GT 63 2-door Coupé
At its core, the program allows customers to option their high-end ‘Benz with premium handcrafted paint and upholstery finishes, with more than 50 curated options now available in Australia.
According to Mercedes-Benz, the colours and finishes available have been “carefully selected from a repertoire of past special models and customer requests”, while others draw from the carmaker’s design archive.
To put the premium nature of the program into perspective, a Manufaktur Exclusive paint finish option will cost $24,300 before on-road costs, while an upholstery package (available on S 580 and Maybach S 680) will start from $27,600.
For the money, buyers will get a choice of exclusive paint hues, many of which draw from the brand’s most iconic past models, with a choice of solid, metallic, Magno, and Bright finishes.
S-Class owners wanting a unique upholstery treatment will have the choice of 20 combinations, including two-tone finishes and shades that span “nearly the full colour spectrum”.
Owners of the S 580 L will also get access to the Manufaktur Exclusive Interior Package, in addition to the Exclusive Upholstery option, which includes chauffeur-focused features like Easy Adjust head restraints, executive seat and designer buckles.
The introduction of the Manufaktur Exclusive program follows last month’s announcement of Special Edition models across the carmaker’s compact car line-up, adding what it calls “striking design features and appointments” to various models.
Special Edition features, which include high-gloss black trim, wheels and interior enhancements, will be offered on the A-Class, CLA Coupe, GLA-Class and GLB-Class models.
The Special Edition models also feature Manufaktur and metallic paint options at no additional cost, adding a touch of exclusivity to the brand’s everyday model range. ![]() Read more24th of July 2025 ![]() Mercedes-Benz pauses ‘EQ’ productionProduction ‘pause’ for unpopular Mercedes-Benz EQE and EQS sedans and SUVsAll new models![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Motor industry news |
