Qashqai Ti e-Power joins the ranks

Nissan set to broaden Qashqai e-Power range with more accessible Ti model grade

8 Jul 2025

NISSAN has announced the arrival of a more accessible Qashqai e-Power variant from this month (July), the Ti grade slotting beneath the high grade Ti-L and flagship N-Design variants priced from $47,165 plus on-road costs.

Matching the equipment offered in the petrol-powered Qashqai Ti, the Qashqai Ti e-Power is said to benefit from the same range-wide updates to technology, safety and connectivity that arrived with the recently updated MY25 range.

Equipment highlights include 19-inch alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, roof rails, dusk-sensing LED headlights with adaptive driving beam, a new grille design, and an optional two-tone black roof.

These features join a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, frameless rear-view mirror, customisable cabin lighting, a heated steering wheel and front seats, synthetic leather upholstery, eight-way powered driver seat adjustment with memory function, and Nissan’s ProPilot safety technologies.

Like the Qashqai N-Design e-Power, the Ti grade is powered by the combination of a turbocharged 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, inverter, 1.8kWh battery, and an electric motor to offer a system output of 140kW/330Nm.

Nissan Australia deputy director of product and retail campaigns Warwick Daly says the arrival of the Qashqai Ti e-Power will allow more Australian buyers the opportunity to sample Nissan’s smooth, quiet drive, improved efficiency, and complete range freedom, without ever needing to plug in.

“We describe e-Power technology as the powertrain for now: delivering a smooth, quiet and EV-like drive experience, and improved efficiency, without ever needing to recharge,” he said.

“The arrival of the Ti e-Power also expands the Qashqai’s appeal even further, with the range now spanning five grades, electrified and ICE powertrains, and the confidence of five-star safety right across the line-up.”

“e-Power technology is now more accessible than ever before, and we can’t wait for Australian drivers to experience it for themselves.”

Year-to-date sales (to the end of June) show Nissan has sold just 2783 examples of the Qashqai, placing it well behind segment leaders including the Hyundai Kona (11,241 unit sales year-to-date), MG ZS (10,177), GWM Haval Jolion (9029), and Chery Tiggo 4 (7996).
