New models - Polestar - 4 - CoupePolestar 4 Coupe prices cut by up to $4600Pricing aligned on Polestar 4 SUV and Coupe models as Sino-Swedish brand sharpens its pencil9 Sep 2026 POLESTAR Australia has slashed pricing on its MY27 Polestar 4 Coupe, aligning it with the newly launched Polestar 4 SUV and delivering discounts of up to $4600 across the range.
Effective for all customers from September 2, the Coupe's Rear motor variant now starts at $73,900 plus on-road costs, down $4600 from the outgoing $78,500, while the Dual motor drops from $86,350 to $81,750, likewise a cut of $4600.
Those figures now mirror the equivalent SUV variants exactly, removing what had previously been a price advantage for the more practical wagon-style newcomer.
The Dual motor variant with Performance pack fitted rounds out the range at $95,450 + ORC, a smaller but still real reduction of $100 on the previous combined pricing.
The cuts follow a Model Year 2027 update revealed in June, which brought the Coupe a reworked chassis but, at the time, no change in price versus the outgoing model. With the SUV’s arrival forcing the issue, Polestar has now brought Coupe pricing into line.
The MY27 changes already announced for the Coupe remain unchanged.
Rear motor and Dual motor variants score a recalibrated chassis with higher-capacity passive dampers, revised spring and anti-roll bar rates, and polyurethane rebound stops in place of the previous internal rebound coil springs. Steering precision has also been sharpened.
Polestar CEO Michael Lohscheller said the changes leave the Coupe better placed than before.
“The upgraded Polestar 4 coupe is better than ever, offering a more refined ride with enhanced driving pleasure, and stronger sustainability credentials,” he said.
“Overall, the Polestar 4 coupe delivers an even more compelling package without compromise.”
Polestar says the suspension and steering work bring a more controlled ride across all conditions, with gains in both comfort and agility.
The range now uses a simplified naming structure of Rear motor, Dual motor, and Dual motor with Performance pack, replacing the previous Long Range Single Motor and Long Range Dual Motor terminology.
Each grade has its own interior colour treatment on the seatbelts and rotary drive controller – black for Rear motor, black with a Swedish gold stripe for Dual motor, and full Swedish gold for cars fitted with the Performance pack.
Both body styles continue to ride on Geely’s SEA architecture with a 100kWh battery. In SUV guise, the Rear motor produces 200kW/343Nm with a claimed WLTP range of up to 630km, while the Dual motor makes 400kW/686Nm, hits 100km/h in a claimed 3.9 seconds and offers up to 600km of range.
Polestar has not detailed any changes to the Coupe’s outputs or range figures alongside the price realignment, and the carbon-footprint reduction cited for the Coupe (down 1.1 tCO2e since launch, to 20.3 tCO2e for Dual motor and 19.4 tCO2e for Rear motor variants) also applies unchanged.
The Coupe retains its distinctive windowless tail and camera-based digital rear-view mirror in place of a conventional back window – a point of difference from the SUV, which gets a normal glass hatch, a more upright roofline, extra rear headroom, and a larger boot.
The Performance pack remains a $7200 option restricted to Dual motor variants and requires the $6500 Plus pack to be fitted first. It brings 22-inch wheels, Polestar Engineered chassis tuning, Brembo brakes, and Swedish gold exterior and interior accents.
The Plus pack itself adds a 1320W harman/kardon sound system, head-up display, Pixel LED headlights with adaptive high beam, hands-free power tailgate, rear control screen, 12-way power sports seats, heated steering wheel and rear seats, tri-zone climate, and PM2.5 filtration among other items.
Elsewhere in the options list sits a $1200 Comfort pack (heated steering wheel, power steering column, easy entry/exit, 12-way power seats), a Nappa leather upgrade at $5700 (Charcoal) or $6100 (Zinc) requiring the Plus pack, plus a $900 22kW AC charging upgrade, $2200 electrochromic glass roof, $1000 digital rear-view mirror (SUV only), $700 rear privacy glass, and a $4070 power-retractable towbar.
Polestar says vehicle-to-load functionality and a new Camping mode will be added across the Polestar 4 range via a future over-the-air software update.
