New models - Porsche - Cayenne - SPorsche Cayenne S Electric priced for OzCayenne S Electric enriches Porsche’s full-size SUV range, available Q3 from $193,10011 Mar 2026 By MATT BROGAN PORSCHE has announced plans to expand its Cayenne Electric range from the third quarter of this year when it will introduce the Cayenne S Electric to local showrooms.
With a list price from $193,100 plus on-road costs, the Porsche Cayenne S Electric will become the third such variant in the range, offering 400kW of system output (490kW on overboost) and a claimed 0-100km/h time of just 3.8 seconds.
Characterised by selected Volcano Grey Metallic design elements front and rear, the Cayenne S Electric features all-wheel drive as standard, alongside optional Porsche Active Ride, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, and a new exclusive Interior Style Package which will be made available across all Cayenne Electric models.
The new Cayenne S Electric sits between the Cayenne Electric and flagship Cayenne Turbo Electric as a mid-tier offering that is said to offer 165kW more power, a sharpened exterior design, and even more extensive equipment options to differentiate it from the entry model.
Like the Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric, the Cayenne S Electric features a 113kWh battery pack delivering up to a claimed 653km driving range, and a DC fast charging capacity of up to 400kW.
Porsche says that when connected with a compatible appliance, the Cayenne S Electric may be charged from 10-80 per cent in as little as 16 minutes.
As is the case with the Cayenne Turbo Electric, the Cayenne S Electric utilises direct oil cooling to the rear electric motor, ensuring heat is dissipated directly from current-carrying components. The pulse inverter on the rear axle uses silicon carbide as a semiconductor material and processes currents of up to 620 amps.
At the end of each axle, the Cayenne S Electric features 20-inch Cayenne S Aero alloy wheels, complimenting a choice of 13 exterior paint colours, “various” interior and accent packages, and standard equipment highlights that include privacy glass, Parking Entry Package, digital radio reception (DAB+), 14-way power adjustable front seats with memory recall and ventilation, a Bose-sourced surround sound audio bundle, panoramic roof, and quad-zone climate control.
Additionally, from Porsche’s Exclusive Manufaktur and available on all derivatives of the Cayenne Electric, is the new Interior Style Package.
The optional package combines a colour and material scheme that is coordinated with an exterior dubbed Mystic Green Metallic Porsche says creates a “modern and exclusive ambience”.
At its heart is two-tone leather upholstery in Black and Delgada Green, which extends to the door trims and seats, with the seat belts also picking up on the colour theme.
Delgada Green decorative stitching “emphasises the attention to detail inside the car,” as does the embroidered outline of the Porsche crest on the headrests.
Aluminium decorative trims, painted in Izabal Green, are said to provide modern contrasts against the upholstered leather surfaces, while the GT sports steering wheel, trimmed in black leather, features a 12 o’clock marking and cross stitching in Delgada Green.
An Izabal Green ring on the airbag module, and a knurled Drive Mode selection wheel in the same colour, emphasise the distinctive styling. While in the driver’s direct field of vision, the dial of the compass, the Sports Chrono stopwatch, and the power meter in the instrument cluster all incorporate the Izabal Green accents.
The features are complemented by an accent package in Silvershade, as well as an armrest in the centre console embossed with ‘Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur’ lettering.
The vehicle key is also finished in Izabal Green and is presented in a case with decorative stitching in Delgada Green.
The overall look is rounded off with black anodised aluminium door sill guards with the model designation illuminated in green, as well as black floor mats with decorative edging, emblems and stitching.
Porsche says the new Cayenne S Electric is now available to order and is expected to arrive in Australia from the third quarter of 2026.
