Light Commercial Motor Show coming to Sydney

FutureDrive preparing to present inaugural Light Commercial Motor show this August

4 Jul 2025

FUTUREDRIVE, hosts of the recent Melbourne EV Show, is preparing to present the inaugural Light Commercial Motor Show at the International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Sydney from August 7-10.

Coinciding and sharing a venue with this year's SmallBiz Week event organised by the Australian Business Forum, the four-day Light Commercial Motor Show is the only one of its kind and is devoted entirely “to the vehicles that keep our businesses moving”, according to show organisers.

Featuring vehicles of all motive power types, the Light Commercial Motor Show will showcase utes, vans, various genres of crew-cabs, and multi-purpose vehicles, providing trade and commercial buyers with “the definitive platform” from which to better understand their next light commercial vehicle.

“As the only platform in Australia dedicated to light commercial vehicles, we’re committed to fostering collaboration between OEMs, fleet operators, and industry bodies,” said FutureDrive auto shows founder and chief executive officer Ray Evans.

“This is where the future of transport policy, regulation and infrastructure planning will be shaped.”

While the first two days of the event will be presented as a trade show – and open exclusively to business visitors across fleet management, construction, logistics, healthcare, tourism, and trade – the weekend will be open to the public, allowing consumers, including rural buyers, adventurers, retirees, and lifestyle seekers to get up close and personal with a wide range of vehicle types.

FutureDrive has yet to announce the line-up of OEMs participating in next month’s event, saying only that it will host the latest in fuel-powered, hybrid, and electric vehicles with the latest in accessories, tech, fleet solutions, and branding services on display.
