Zeekr 7X gets 1000 pre-orders in a week

Positive market response to Zeekr 7X newcomer, 1000 pre-orders received in week one

15 Aug 2025

ZEEKR has received over 1000 pre-orders for its all-electric 7X, the IM6 and Telsa Model Y rival set for Australian release later this month.

According to Zeekr Australia, the strong initial response reflects growing consumer interest in premium electric mobility and establishes the 7X as a significant addition to the Australian EV market.

“We’re pleased with the positive market response,” said Zeekr Australia managing director Frank Li.

“Achieving over 1000 pre-orders in the first week indicates strong consumer interest in the 7X’s combination of advanced technology and practical luxury.

“This reinforces our confidence in the Australian market’s readiness for premium electric vehicles.”

The 7X is the first model from Zeekr to feature the brand’s Golden Brick battery technology the Chinese importer says is capable of charging from 10-80 per cent in just 13 minutes. Driving range is quoted at up to 615km (WLTP).

The three-variant-strong Zeekr 7X range is priced from $57,900 plus on-road costs.

All variants utilise 800-volt electrical architecture and the same 310kW/440Nm rear motor. The AWD Performance variant adds a second motor at the front axle to generate combined figures of 475kW/710Nm with a 0-100km/h time of 3.8 seconds (claimed).

Standard specification on the RWD Includes LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels in a snowflake design, vinyl interior upholstery, heated and memory front seats, a power tailgate, panoramic sunroof (with blind), 360-degree camera, and a Sentry mode.

The $6000 step into the Long Range RWD adds 28 per cent range while retaining the RWD’s 19-inch wheels and passive dampers, however extra spec includes ventilated front seats, power steering wheel adjustment, a 21-speaker premium stereo and a head-up display.

Opting for the Long Range RWD also opens the option of a black/dark grey interior colour scheme, while the Performance AWD adds a bright white/purple combination.

A final $9000 leap into the Performance AWD buys a considerable performance improvement, but also 21-inch wheels, air suspension, Nappa leather upholstery, orange brake callipers, and electrically opening and closing doors.

Notably missing from the Australian spec sheet are roof-mounted Lidar and matrix LED headlights, both available in the Chinese market.

A five-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty is standard, but the first 1000 Australian 7X pre-order holders will be upgraded to a seven-year warranty with the launch special also packing a 7kW wallbox, two charging cables, and complimentary choice of exterior and interior colours.

Due to the overwhelming demand for the 7X, Zeekr Australia will extend the original offer warranty until 30 September.

Initial customer deliveries will begin in October.
