KGM’s Actyon petrol-electric hybrid medium SUV arrived last month from $48,000 + ORC. Two grades, K50 and K60, both powered by same turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol engine with dual electric motors putting a combined 150kW/300Nm to the front wheels. No AWD.

Kia’s up-spec, high-performance GT version of EV9 large SUV line-up is priced from $129,250 + ORC. The big AWD has impressive credentials starting with a 374kW/740Nm dual motor drivetrain, a more assertive appearance, and adaptive, electronically controlled suspension.

Model: Navara
New gen’ Navara, based on the current Mitsubishi Triton, arrives as dual-cab only with four grades. Priced from $53,348 + ORC, Nissan says the locally fettled turbocharged 2.4-litre diesel and six-speed automatic combination is set to build on the legacy of its predecessors.

Updated Nissan X-Trail arrives with more colours, trim options, and wheel designs alongside added telematics functionality, improved 360-degree camera tech, and longer service intervals. Styling is tweaked, cabin materials and tech improved, and Connected Car Services added.

Renault’s Trafic van scores a round of tech upgrades for MY26 for improved fuel economy and lower emissions, a new nine-speed automatic transmission, increased towing capacity, and adaptive cruise control on higher-grade variants. Prices start at $52,990 + ORC in SWB guise.

Model: RAV4
Toyota’s gen’ six RAV4 launch rolls on with the expected arrival of HEVs punctuated by steep price rises and reduced power for the carryover hybrid powertrain. Gruntier PHEV variants are months away. Prices are from $45,990 + ORC for the FWD drive GX base model.
Model: Scenic - E-Tech
Incoming fully electric Renault Scenic E-Tech medium SUV is available in three grades priced from $55,990 + ORC for the Techno EV60. As per Euro-spec’, the model will be offered Down Under with a choice of two battery capacities and two electric motor outputs.

Production pause on Japan-built Jimny 3-Door compact SUV ends this month ushering in revisions including improved ADR compliance, extra safety kit and tech, and a price rise. Jimny and Jimny Lite are available, the former with five-speed manual or optional four-speed auto.

New generation, new energy Vitara duo is tipped for arrival in February, introducing hybrid power to the range for the first time in Australia. Details are scant, but suggest small capacity turbocharged petrol engines with electric assistance, alongside a likely all-electric model.

The seventh generation Outback will offer familiar Premium and Touring grades alongside new Wilderness and Wilderness Apex variants. Symmetrical all-wheel drive is standard, joining petrol and turbo-petrol engines. Pricing increase by $4800 to start from $48,990 + ORC.

Model: Macan - GTS
The all-electric Macan GTS high-performance SUV offers up to 420kW of power and a dual-motor drivetrain capable of accelerating to 100km/h time of 3.8 seconds. A 100kWh battery is fitted, as is lowered air suspension and a sporty rear-biased all-wheel drive system.
Model: Qashqai
Nissan has updated its Qashqai e-Power SUV range adding specification and a new entry ST-L grade. Now all-hybrid, the range offers buyers improved fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions. Pricing starts from $45,640 + ORC, with higher grades costing up to $2475 more.

MG’s mid-sized electric SUV may arrive this month positioned above the MG 4 and MG 5 and utilising a 77kWh battery for up to 530km of WLTP driving range. With a spacious interior and a five-star safety rating, it is offered as a single- or dual-motor variant with pricing to be advised.

Sets a new benchmark as the most affordable PHEV in the Australian market priced from $33,990 + ORC. Focus is on customer value, emissions reduction, low running costs, and all-round practicality. Offered Essential and Premium grades with DM-i Super Hybrid System.

Third generation Scudo returns after an 11-year absence in two body lengths and in two trim grades priced from $48,490 + ORC. Power is from a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel delivering 110kW/370Nm to the front wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.

A plug-in, NVES-friendly version of the rugged Tank 300 with Hi4-T PHEV tech’ features a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol paired with an electric motor and delivering 300kW/750Nm. Retains low-range capability, locking differentials, and 3000kg braked towing.

The Iveco Daily is available as a van or cab-chassis and is known for its durable ladder-frame construction. Power is from a turbocharged 3.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine with up to 132kW/430Nm. Offers 3500kg braked towing, eight-speed automatic, or six-speed manual.

Kia’s fully electric BYD Seal and Telsa Model 3 rival is priced from $49,990 + ORC in three trim grades. All are front-wheel drive sharing much of its 400-volt driveline with the EV3 small SUV. Driving range varies from 456km to 612km (WLTP) depending on trim grade.
Model: EV6
Features exterior and interior design changes, further advancements in comfort and convenience, a larger battery for improved range, and an enhanced chassis tune. Updated for 2026, the Kia EV6 is priced from $72,660 + ORC – or just $70 more than before.

Revised CATL batteries and extensive technology updates headline the updated Polestar 2 range. Driving range improves to 554km (WLTP), while equipment and amenity lists lengthen. Despite the changes, pricing is uncharged from $62,400 + ORC.

Lexus will introduce its plug-in hybrid RX 450h+ Luxury AWD as a cheaper alternative to the existing Sports Luxury grade. Available from $105,350 + ORC the variant outputs 227kW of combined power from dual electric motors and a 2.5-litre petrol engine.

The Jaecoo J5 electric SUV delivers 155kW/288Nm from its single electric motor to offer a driving range of up to 402km. In Summit trim it comes generously equipped with an introductory drive-away price of $36,990.

Updated for 2026, the Fiat Ducato Series 2 van range offers a familiar 132kW/450Nm turbocharged 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine and choice of three wheelbases alongside revised infotainment and safety technologies. Pricing starts from $57,500 + ORC.

Powered by a similar driveline as the related BYD Shark 6, the five-seat Denza B5 large SUV combines a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol with PHEV assistance to output 400kW/760Nm. Two model grades are available with pricing from $74,990 + ORC.
