Priced from $29,990 driveaway, the facelifted Chery Tiggo 7 is characterised by more slender LED headlight assemblies and redesigned tail-lights, a lightly revised cabin with dual 12.3-inch instrumentation and infotainment displays, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, wireless device charging, and six-speaker sound.
The Toyota RAV4 rival is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 108kW/210Nm, driving the front wheels via a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Chery says the combination offers an improved combined cycle fuel consumption figure of 6.9 litres per 100km.
On the safety front, the Tiggo 7 adopts the latest version of Chery’s intelligent driver assistance systems, combining a comprehensive list of active and passive safety features.
“The MY26 Tiggo 7 represents the next chapter in Chery’s SUV story,” said Chery Australia chief operating officer Lucas Harris.
“It combines modern design, innovative technology, and exceptional value – a formula that resonates strongly with Australian families and urban drivers alike.”
For the entry grade Chery Tiggo 7 Urban (from $29,990 driveaway) we find standard equipment highlights including 18-inch alloy wheels (with space saver spare), a reversing camera, rear parking sensors, seven airbags, tyre pressure monitoring, acoustic windscreen glass, dual-zone climate control, a premium steering wheel, and manual front seat adjustment on both sides.
The flagship Tiggo 7 Ultimate (from $33,990 driveaway) adds a panoramic tilt and slide sunroof with powered sunshade, LED ambient cabin lighting, synthetic leather upholstery, front seat heating and ventilation, powered front seat adjustment, a 50-watt wireless device charging pad, puddle lights, 360-degree camera system, front parking sensors, a retractable cargo blind, and a powered tailgate.
Chery continues to back its Australian vehicle range with a seven-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty including capped-price servicing and roadside assistance for the entire duration.
